MGM-EMEA joins Flanders Meets Istanbul during the Belgian Economic Mission Türkiye 2026

MGM-EMEA was present at Flanders Meets Istanbul, part of the Belgian Economic Mission Türkiye 2026, hosted at the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce on 12 May 2026.
Represented by Yannick Mattheessens, Mahmut ÖZ and Abdullah AĞAR, MGM-EMEA joined Flemish and Turkish business leaders for an exclusive networking moment focused on strengthening economic ties and creating new business opportunities between Türkiye and European markets.
For MGM-EMEA, this was more than an event. It was exactly where we need to be: in the room where conversations start, trust is built and cross-border opportunities become concrete.

The programme brought together entrepreneurs, trade organisations, logistics players, industrial companies and business leaders across key sectors such as transport and logistics, port activities, energy transition, health, pharma and life sciences, digitalisation, Industry 4.0, defence and aeronautics.
The opening programme included remarks from the Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and Flemish Minister-President Matthias Diependaele, highlighting the importance of stronger economic cooperation between Flanders and Türkiye.

After the official opening, the rooftop networking reception created the ideal setting for direct conversations between Turkish and Flemish companies, with Istanbul as the backdrop.

For MGM-EMEA, the value of the mission was clear.
International business does not start with a contract. It starts with a conversation. And the best conversations are built on trust.
That is why this event fits so closely with the mission of MGM-EMEA. As Market Gateway Management, we help companies move from interest to introductions, from introductions to structured conversations, and from conversations to real business opportunities.
Türkiye has strong entrepreneurial energy, production capacity and industrial potential. European and EMEA markets offer demand, distribution channels, logistics networks and long-term growth opportunities.
But turning that potential into real business requires more than exchanging business cards.
It requires trust. It requires follow-up. It requires clear communication. It requires reliable people on both sides.
This is where MGM-EMEA creates value.
“Trust is the multiplier.”
Key themes from the mission
Trusted business connections
Direct conversations between Turkish and Flemish leaders, with introductions grounded in credibility rather than cold outreach.
Türkiye–EMEA market entry
Structured pathways for Turkish companies to engage European buyers, distributors and industrial partners.
Logistics and trade opportunities
Port activities, transport and trade flows where Türkiye and EMEA create complementary value.
Long-term partnership building
Beyond a first meeting — relationships that turn into reliable cooperation and recurring business.
One of the strongest takeaways from the mission was simple: business grows faster when people trust each other.
A first meeting can create a contact. A trusted relationship can create a network.
That is why we believe that 1 + 1 does not always have to equal 2. With the right trust, the right partners and the right follow-up, 1 + 1 can become 4 or 5.
Because when people share knowledge, open their network and work transparently, opportunities multiply.
Flanders Meets Istanbul confirmed what MGM-EMEA stands for: honest business, reliable communication and long-term partnerships between Türkiye and EMEA.
We look forward to continuing the conversations started in Istanbul and turning new connections into long-term value.
MGM-EMEA will continue to build bridges between Türkiye and EMEA, one trusted conversation at a time.
